FAQ
Do you deliver ever image you shoot?
No I do not. Any images that are test shots, out of focus, shots with bad expressions or any other images that may affect the overall product delivery. The best images will be picked and edited to deliver for the ordering process via a downloadable gallery.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm located in Central California and I absolutely love to travel! If you want me to travel to you a small mileage fee will incur.
When will we get our photos?
Depending on the season I photography your story, photos will be edited and delivered within a maximum of 6-8 weeks. You can download all the purchased photos from the gallery and can share them, choose your favorites, and also order more prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
Once photos are edited you will receive a mobile gallery with 25-30 photos to choose from for ordering. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that''s why I will choose the best and most significant photos to tell your story.
Should we bring props?
YES! Bring anything that you feel would define your style or personality. For children, you can bring their favorite blankets, toys or stuffed animals. For maternity shoots, any baby related items that are special to you. For boudoir photos, you could bring sexy shoes, an item of your SO or anything that makes you feel more confident in front of the camera.
How long are photo shoots?
Photo shoots are typically one hour unless a mini session or boudoir session is booked. Minis are half an hour and boudoir sessions are a little more entailed.
What do we do if it rains or the weather is bad?
In the event of bad weather, or if you have an emergency and need to reschedule, please call me ASAP! If it looks like it might rain the morning of your shoot, we will most likely reschedule. While weather may be unpredictable in the event that it starts to rain in the middle of your shoot we will get the best shots we can because sometimes the best shots are candid.
What should we wear for our session?
Try to coordinate clothing as much as possible, avoid busy-looking prints and clothing with logos that will distract your eyes in photos. Solid colors like khakis, black skirts, blue jeans and shirts of similar, solid colors photograph well together. Avoid white shirts if possible, if it’s sunny outside, solid white shirts can become very “contrasty” in sunlight making it harder to meter for properly exposed faces. Pinterest is also great for helping with clothing and color combinations!
Do you have any hair & makeup tips?
Use a little more make-up and hairspray than you normally would, you’ll want your make-up to show up a little bit more in your photos and it can get windy outside so the hairspray will help keep your hair in place. Do not go to the tanning bed and overly tan before your shoot, sometimes fake skin tones appear more orange than brown which is not flattering. Natural bronzer or bronzing powder are the way to go. If you worry about the appearance of a double chin in photos, rub a little bit of bronzer or bronzer powder that is 1 shade darker than your natural skin tone under your chin and around your neck to create the appearance of a shadow on your neck.
